Police In Annapolis arrested two teens, a 13 year old and a 14 year old on Tuesday for burglary.
Acting on a call from alert neighbors they discovered two teens had broken into a local executive’s house and stolen a Toshiba laptop. The neighbors had seen the teens with the laptop and questioned them before alerting the police.
Apparently the teens became frustrated when they could not gain access to the encrypted laptop so they took it into the nearby woods and bricked it. Literally … pounding it to smithereens with a brick.
The laptop was recovered and it had been totally destroyed … every item that could be ripped out of the laptop was … the hard drive was smashed so savagely parts of it protruded out of the other side. Shaking the drive it sounded like a pair maracas.
Upon the return of the remains to homeowner he noted that the report he was working on may be a little late but “This is the best dog ate my homework” excuse ever.
Pictures of the damaged laptop are below.
